Zero Motorcycle My Hero
I absolutely love riding my Zero Motorcycle. So much so that I totally dread getting into my beautiful new BMW. Don't get me wrong. I adore my new BMW, however when I'm sitting in traffic on the 405, I fantasize about speeding through traffic while jamming out to Spotify in total control of my destiny. Living in Los Angeles means that having a motorcycle is the next best thing to owning a helicopter!
In July of last year, my girlfriend and I moved to Playa Vista. I had always promised myself that I would purchase a scooter for myself when I moved close to the beach. We were on the hunt for the perfect scooter --- something sexy, fast, easy to ride, efficient, and highway legal. We thought seriously about purchasing a Vespa. I am a life long athlete and my girlfriend kept telling me that the Vespa wouldn't be fast enough for me and that I'd get used to it and want to move on to something bigger and faster. She really knows me well. However, I was scared of motorcycles. The weight and mechanics of shifting had me deathly afraid. In high school, my best friend attempted to teach me how to drive her stick shift car and burned out her clutch. From then on, I was convinced that gear shifting was not for me.
